Welcome To My Work!

Hi! Thank you so much for acquainting yourself with my ePortfolio. I hope that so far you have enjoyed getting to know my work history and a little about me. This specific page is for you to see some work samples from the past. Sadly, I have not been able to interpret live for many public spaces so many of these videos are ou of date. If you are trying to find a sample of work with a specific quality, skill, etc. but cannot seem to find one, feel free to email me and let me know what exactly you are looking for. I do not mind recording a new video or trying to locate another sample of work I have yet to upload here. Anyway, thank you very much, please get in touch if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or really anything at all!

Apprentice/Protege Seminars

As a group of newer professionals in the field of Interpreting, many Apprentices and Proteges working with the Department of Access Services wanted to learn more about the possibilities outside of the Rochester Institute of Technology. I was able to take on the role of Apprentice/Protege Seminar Facilitator and ensure that we had individuals in the world of interpreting discuss a myriad of important topics. Listed below are the seminar topics that I Arranged over the semester I had in this role:

  • Budgeting and Personal Finance

    • This helps those looking into Freelance opportunities

    • Or those who are simply new to the world of handling their own finances

  • Freelance Agencies

    • This was prudent for those who were thinking of staying in the Rochester area after their apprenticeship was over

    • This also helped glean insight into the perspective of individuals who have not only been Freelance Interpreters themselves but also have run the business and coordinated it themselves

  • Video Relay Service (VRS) Providers

    • These were beneficial to those interested in becoming a Video Interpreter during their work as a Freelance Interpreter, Staff interpreter, or as their sole income base

    • These also gave insight into the differences between VRS providers
