Home: Welcome

My name is Jase Rivera. I am a Colorado native. I attended Pikes Peak Community College where I earned 2 degrees, one in General Studies with a focus on Culinary Arts and the other in Sign Language Interpretation. Since graduating in 2018, I have worked as a freelance interpreter, as well as a video relay interpreter. Most of my interpreting career, however, has been as a post-secondary interpreter at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I became Nationally Certified through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf in 2020.
I have separate work experience in many places like the restaurant industry as a Shift Lead, a captioning agency as a Trainer, an Optometrist's office as an Optician, and more. I have also had the great honor of creating and presenting a professional development workshop called Dynamics of Communication. In addition, I am consistently working in spaces to foster other people's growth goals in the interest of Diversity and Inclusion (as well as continually growing in this area myself).
I look forward to acquainting you more with my portfolio.
